Procedure:
In accordance with Section 25 of the Equal Status Act, 2000following the referral of the complaints to me by the Director General, I inquired into the complaints and gave the parties an opportunity to be heard by me and to present to me any evidence relevant to the complaints.
Background:
The Complainant is seeking adjudication by the Workplace Relations Commission pursuant to Section 21 of the Equal Status Act, 2000 and has submitted that the Respondent discriminated against the Complainant on the grounds of her disability and gender and failed to afford her reasonable accommodation (CA-00021090-001) and that the Respondent discriminated against the Complainant on the grounds of her disability and failed to afford her reasonable accommodation (CA-00021090-002) |

Findings and Conclusions:
It was confirmed that the Complainant was on notice of the hearing of this matter as per the letter of the 5th June 2019 from the Workplace Relations Commission. Further, it was confirmed, conscious of the disability of the Complainant, this aforementioned notice of hearing letter was forwarded to the Complainants home address in braille format. Accordingly, as there has been no correspondence or contact from the Complainant, the Complaints are not well founded.

Decision:
Section 25 of the Equal Status Acts, 2000 – 2015 requires that I make a decision in relation to the complaint in accordance with the relevant redress provisions under section 27 of that Act.
I find that the Complaints (CA-00021090-001 and CA-00021090-002) are not well founded. |
